In 2009, he released his first EP Synesthesia on label Error Broadcast, followed by vinyl Error Code. In 2011, he recorded the track Under the Alps for Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Recordings, which appeared on the compilation Brownswood Electric 2. His most recent album, Titles, released on FuseLab, was well received in Europe and beyond and mixes occasionally psychedelic instrumentals with hip hop influences characterised by synthetic sounds and an overall mood of urban melancholia. Aeed makes digital music with a garage spirit, furnished with samples inserted on beat that spark vague reminders of slowed-down two-step. The artist traces the history of the last 15 years of “boom boom clap” without a second thought, marking the rhythm by alternat- ing forays into glitch with mangy but pleasant filters that swing on an angular funk wave. As one reviewer wrote, he manages to establish a unique sound between Hip Hop, IDM and candy Pop music.
